Fuel and Repair Service

The easiest way to refuel and repair a vehicle is to request service. The V key is used to request fuel and repairs for the vehicle you occupy. The location of the vehicle when you request service determines what happens and where the fuel comes from. The vehicle must be stationary to be serviced at a Service Location.

Fuel and repair service is provided to all players free of charge. Availability of fuel and repairs may be limited by the commodity export restrictions of the empire who owns the service location toward the empire who owns the vehicle.

The amount of repairs received is equal to the amount you would get by clicking on the vehicle using the appropriate repair too. Refer to the Manual Refuel and Repair section. The amount of repairs received from each service request is based on the quality of the vehicle. A heavily damaged vehicle may require several presses of the V key to be fully repaired.

If fuel is not provided by the service location when you request service, your personal inventory will be checked for a unit of the appropriate fuel.
A unit of fuel will be consumed from there to refuel your vehicle. Fuel will be located even if it is inside a container such as a backpack. This enables you to refuel any vehicle while you are aboard it simply by pressing the V key. Refueling a vehicle in this way can be done anywhere and it does not require the vehicle to be stationary.
