The Orders (Shift+F3) window is used to
issue orders to
troops and passengers; mouse clicks and control+key combinations are
also used to issue orders. Refer to the
Keyboard and
Mouse Controls page for details about selecting units and issuing
orders to them.
Units in your command are issued
orders and posture commands. Orders instruct your units to perform some
action. Posture commands instruct your units to assume a certain
offensive or defensive strategy toward units they encounter.
Orders and posture commands are sent
on the Crew channel or the Voice channel.
Orders are issued to the units that are selected.
There are three methods for issuing orders. Clicking the mouse can
order units to move or attack. Control+key
combinations issue orders to units. The Orders (Shift+F3) window issues
orders to units.
The method of
issuing an order determines how the
target of the order is selected.
